Description

Incense burner – Clay shell

Traditionally, incense is burned in a shell: what we call fumigation. This ritual allows the purification of places and beings. The abalone or sea ear is the most used by most nations because it symbolizes the water element.
Thus during the ritual of purification, you have the 4 elements represented (the fire which burns the herbs representing the earth, the air which stirs up the fire, and the water containing it). Invocation has designed a clay shell with the same shape as the abalone for those who do not wish to have an attribute of an animal and thus preserve the species.

Each clay shell is unique and handmade by a Wendake artisan, Line Gros Louis.

It represents the element of water because of its clay nature and is exactly the same shape as an abalone.

The shells are offered individually or in a gift bag made of natural material with 4 samples of herbs to burn.

Fumigation procedure: the ideal time is between 11am and 1pm on a sunny day, purify while singing, be joyful, open a window in each room – if rooms have no opening: use the Chiiyaam, do not forget the land and outbuildings (barn, garage, roof, cellar…).

Start from the left of your front door, go along the walls and clean the corners, you should end up on the right of your front door. Write us if you have any questions.

The bag will be Beige.
