First Nations Traditional Chants
Description
These Native chants from different nations and some original songs from Blue Eagle are accompanied by the traditional drum, flute and rattle. There are innumerable chants in First Nations traditions which are very diverse and are each dedicated to special purposes. For example: sound formulas were used to prepare medicinal plants; power chants were used by the shamans to call to the Spirits and activate special inner powers; long hymns were used in cyclical ceremonies. The musical environment of the Native American people is full of magic and meaning. Each song on this recording has been chosen because of the special medicine it carries.
All instruments are acoustic (no electronic instruments) and are played by Blue Eagle (multi-track recording technology).
